Terms & Conditions
All bookings at Havgrím Seaside Hotel 1948 are subject to the following terms and conditions. Please check your booking and read them.
Bookings
A valid credit card is required for your reservation. Havgrím Seaside Hotel 1948 accepts:
Dankort / Visa Dankort, Mastercard, Visa, Visa Electron, American Express, JCB
A booking can be cancelled or changed without cost up to 5 days prior to the arrival date and no later than 15:00 GMT+1. If a cancellation/change is made later than this, the guest is liable to pay 100% of the booking. If the guest leaves before the planned departure day or fails to appear, they are liable for the full amount.
Cancellations or changes to bookings must be made by writing to Havgrím Seaside Hotel 1948 at booking@hotelhavgrim.fo
Accommodation, food and any other expenses incurred shall be paid on departure.
Check-in and check-out
Check-in is from 15:00. Please let us know if you arrive later than 8pm by calling +298 201400 or sending an email to booking@hotelhavgrim.fo
Check-out is at 12:00.
The hotel may use the guest’s credit card number to cover possible extra fees for their stay.
Group bookings
The terms and conditions for group bookings apply when booking more than 4 rooms,. A group booking can be cancelled/changed without cost up to 30 days prior to arrival. After this the booking is binding. The deadline for the number of rooms needed is 30 days prior to arrival, and a list of the guests’ names shall be provided no later than 2 weeks prior to arrival.
For group bookings the following cancellation charges apply:
Between 30 and 21 days before arrival – 10% of total booking
Between 20 and 15 days before arrival – 25% of total booking
Between 14 and 7 days before arrival – 50% of total booking
Later than 7 days before arrival – 100% of total booking
Bookings are not final until you have received a booking number confirmation from us. A valid credit card is required in order to confirm a booking.

In order for us to guarantee all our guests the best experience, we would ask you to respect the following regulations:
Smoking
It is not permitted to smoke inside Havgrím Seaside Hotel 1948. Failure to follow this will result in a charge equivalent to one night’s accommodation. There are designated areas for smoking outside the hotel.
Parking
There is free parking available at Havgrím Seaside Hotel 1948 for guests staying at the hotel.
Rooms
For safety reasons unregistered guests are not allowed in the hotel after 21:00 / 9 p.m.. If you wish other guests to have access, please notify us in advance.
Age restrictions
Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Noise
Guests are requested to be considerate of other guests in the hotel and refrain from making unnecessary noise or exhibiting bad behaviour.
Pets
Strictly by agreement only.
Other guests
It is not permitted to pass information about other guests staying at Havgrím Seaside Hotel 1948 either verbally or on any form of communication and social media.
Damages
Please notify us immediately if you damage something by accident. We reserve the right to charge your credit card for the cost of replacing any broken or missing items on your departure.
Force majeure
Havgrím Seaside Hotel 1948 is not liable for compensation should your stay be interrupted or cancelled due to force majeure (storms, infrastructure failures, strikes, civil unrest etc.)
VAT
Hotel rooms are not subjected to VAT and prices quoted do not include this tax. All other prices include 25% VAT.
Breach of these regulations can result in being asked to leave the hotel without the right to a refund.
